Dental Implants

Complete smile rehabilitation with osseointegrated implants. Careful assessment and personal follow-up at every step.

What is a dental implant

A dental implant is a biocompatible titanium screw that replaces the root of a lost tooth. After integration with the bone (osseointegration), the implant receives a crown that reproduces the appearance and function of a natural tooth.

Unlike provisional solutions like bridges or removable dentures, the implant stays fixed, preserves the bone of the arch and restores chewing function without compromising adjacent teeth.

How the treatment works

  1. Initial assessment

Conversation, clinical exam and imaging to evaluate the case. Dr. Felipe explains the options and what to expect — no pressure, no unrealistic timelines.

  2. Planning

Definition of the appropriate technique for the case. Treatment plan explained clearly, with timeline and honest time estimate.

  3. Surgery

Outpatient procedure with local anesthesia. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.

  4. Osseointegration

Healing period, typically 3 to 6 months, during which the implant integrates with the bone. Regular follow-up to ensure proper progress.

  5. Final crown

After osseointegration, the definitive crown is made and installed. Fixed, esthetic and functional result.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about implants

  • Does it hurt?
The implant installation is done under local anesthesia — the patient does not feel pain during the procedure. Mild discomfort and swelling may occur during recovery, controlled with prescribed medication. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.
  • How long does the full treatment take?
On average, from assessment to final crown, treatment takes 3 to 6 months — this time is necessary for osseointegration. Cases requiring prior bone grafting may take longer.
  • How much does it cost?
The price is defined individually after clinical evaluation, imaging and treatment plan. Each case has its own variables — number of implants, need for grafting, type of crown. The quote is presented transparently, with payment options (credit card, installments, Pix).
  • Who is a candidate?
Most healthy adults are candidates. We evaluate bone quantity and quality, gum health, systemic conditions (uncontrolled diabetes, certain medical treatments) and habits like smoking. In some cases, prior adjustments are needed before surgery — discussed transparently at assessment.
